BURST GEYSER

Below you will find the options to follow in order to replace your burst geyser.
You will either need to follow either Option A or Option B depending on your situation.
Option A - Insurance replacement procedure where your manufacturers warranty has expired.


  1. Confirm with the manufacturer that the geyser is burst and determine the state of warranty. Alternatively call a plumber to determine fault and geyser credentials.
  2. Phone the manufacturer (Kwikot contact number) 031 5748700 or the alternative supplier with the geyser codes and size.
  3. If out of warranty the client will need to confirm burst status with either a plumbers report or a report from KZN Solar.
  4. Once burst status is affirmed the prospective client can contact info@kznsolar.co.za or 0861 111 203 for an informal evaluation or alternatively visit our premises in Prospecton for a full presentation on products and alternatives available.

  5. KZN Solar will provide a replacement quote (to be submitted to the insurance company) and then determine the clients exact requirements and provide the solution, also in the form of a quote.
  6. The purchase from KZN Solar will include the discount from the manufacturer, full installation including digital timers and a minimum 5 year guarantee. The client will be required to confirm his Eskom status, Ownership of the house, the general condition of the roof structure and shade related implications. KZN Solar will drive the entire administration process with Eskom.

Option B - Your Kwikot geyser is still under warranty. Solar conversion procedure.
